My brief review suggests it involves supplements (maybe ok), snack bars, laxatives and injections (likely not ok), and low calorie meals (the answer). Leptin and other weight control hormones may be important; these hormonal strategies are largely still investigational. At this point, daily caloric restriction of 250+ calories with more calorie expenditure is key
