One of my: "rules" has always been that a diagnosis of Cancer is not made until TISSUE is obtained (Biopsy) My Opinion Only I hope it is helpful! Dr Z

A little unclear: what the specific question is. There are various guidelines for follow up of incidentally detected pulmonary nodules based on their CT characteristics and your risk profile.
