Have it checked: The most likely causes would be trauma ( a burn from hot or acidic foods) or a viral infection. When you are first infected with oral herpes (cold sores) it can cause sores all over your mouth called primary herpetic gingivostomatosis. You should see your dentist so they can rule out any other causes that may require treatment and/or prescribe a rinse that may help with pain.
