Pulsating tinnitus: Might and might not. This can be a challenging Dx. I would start with and ENT consult.

Unlikely to provide answer if normal 4 months ago. Usually imaging would not miss aneurysm large enough to cause symptoms. I too suggest ENT visit

Progressive Unilateral tinnitus/SNHL since 2009- 1.5T CONTRAST ENHANCED MRI of IAM/Brain in 2013 NORMAL, 1.5T MRI in 2014 Brain and IAM protocol also normal but 2014 MRI was without contrast. Is the second MRI still reliable if no contrast used?

Hi doctors! I had what I believe you said was tinnitus--sound of childs squeeze toy inside my right ear. The noise has subsided. I had an MRI of the skull base and brain--would that MRI show an acoustic neuroma if I had one? What else causes tinnitus?
