A member asked:

Could there ever be any value in having an upper molar extracted and "mixed" bone graft material placed into socket even when an implant not possible?

Bone grafts: Bone grafts placed into a socket following an extraction may help to maintain as much bone as possible & may be advantageous even if no dental implant is planned. The more bone the better for possible future implants, permanent bridges, dentures, and support for adjacent teeth. If there is substantial bone around the full circumference of the extraction socket, benefit of bone graft questionable.
