Hmmm: Not all extractions sites can be supplemented with a bone graft. I would research Oral Surgeons and Periodontists in your area that may be able to achieve successful results in difficult areas with advanced techniques. If there is insufficient bone, you may have to restore the area with other types of restorations such as a fixed or removable bridge.

Infected tooth?: If the tooth was infected, regardless if the walls were broken, typically the waiting period is 4 months or so for everything to clear up and heal before placement of bone graft or implant. The fact that you were prescribed Amoxicillin for 7 days makes me think the socket was not clean. Take your time and follow your dentist's advice.

Where to go?: Ask your friends who may have dental implants for some one they can recommend. DDS doing implants most often do grafting as well. Call the local dental society who may be in your area as well.
