Possibly Lymph node: If there is infection on facial skin, Scalp, Ear or near ear and as simple as Bronchitis can cause Inflammation of Lymph node or Inflammatory acne can also cause painful swelling of cervical LN . Do you have sore throat, that can also cause this.

Salivary gland: It could be parotid gland of sublingual gland. Ask yourt physician.
