My sciatic nerve may be permanently damaged from leaving it irritated for 2 long is there anything i can do to improve this nerve so the pain lessens?

Sciatic Nerve : Chronic irritation or compression of the nerves in the back which travel downward towards the leg to form the sciatic nerve may lead to permanent nerve damage or neuropathy. Most of the symptoms resolve if the cause has been removed, sometime a very difficult task. Surgery, epidural injections and specific medication for treatment for neuropathy can be effective.
