My doc said i irritated my sciatic nerve. i am taking celebrex (celecoxib) and coumadin. my leg feels numb and weird is this normal?

Yes but: The sciatic nerve has specific areas of irritation-your doctor needs to question you and test to find out if it is the cause. It isn`t clear why you`re on Coumadin, (warfarin) but NSAIDS can enhance their activity and cause a bleeding problem which your doctor can also check and be associated with these symptoms. So without the pertinent information please check with your doctor.

No: Being on coumadin (warfarin) one must take these symptoms seriously. The distribution of the numbness might give a clue as to where the problem lies. Increased risk of bleeding on coumadin (warfarin) obviates a closer look. You might ask your doctor to refer you to a neurologist, physiatrist or neurosurgeon.
