I received the flu shot monday afternoon. i didnt feel any pain or soreness. 4 days after redness, itchiness, and bumps appear for the first time at injection site. is this normal? also the placement of shot seemed a little further back then usual.

Not uncommon: This is not totally unexpected and perhaps reflects that you may have some antibody left over from previous immunizations or infection. If this bothers you a lot, try taking an NSAID +/- topical cortisone cream.
