A pediodontist will: Examine her, maybe with an x-ray & tell you what's going on. The first routine visit to a pediatric dentist is at 1 year.Toddlers don't chew well because premolars & molars haven't erupted. She can eat small dices of soft cooked veggies & meats. She can drink from a two-handled open-mouthed cup. At a year, limit whole milk & milk products to 16-21 oz./day & juice to 0-4 oz./day from a cup.
