Bodies aren't: designed to be bashed hard. I think that taking away transportation such as cars or trains would have many serious, negative impacts on life.

NO and NO: Humans have been on the planet far longer than automobiles and our necks were not "designed" to withstand injury from them. That's why we continue to develop safety mechanisms such as belts and airbags. The number of injuries per person per mile from planes and trains combined is much lower than cars. This may change with the advent of self driving vehicles coming sooner than you might realize.
