I have dm type 2 on meds also high tg and low hdl on lipid profile on meds, no mi or angina now or previously, no smoking or alcohol or other risk factors, kindly asking should i take plavix or aspirin as away or primary prevention of heart disease ?

Recent randomized trials have not supported any decrease in morbidity or mortality by primary prevention of major cardiovascular events in diabetes. However guidelines suggest aspirin low dose 70-100 mg daily may benefit . Hope it helps.
