A member asked:

Will resting shoulder/arm in splint for a few days help? physio hasn't helped but has only agrivated the situation.

Diagnosis needed: The first mission is to get an accurate diagnosis. The main problem may be a nerve inpingenent in the spine at the neck level. This can be caused by a spur or disc problem pressing on the nerve root causing pain which radiates toward the shoulder and arm. Can you distinguish between symptoms emanating from your neck or shoulder by moving them? An MRI of your neck would show nerve impingement.
