How long after a diagnostic laparoscopy for endometriosis and insertion of a mirena can you get back to the excercise , gym , boot camp ?

Surgeon's recs: Best to go with surgeon's recommendations. Always a good idea to start with light exercise and increase slowly intensity allowing time for your body to recover after surgery.

Postop instructions: Your surgeon should provide guidance as they will know the specifics of what was done. Typically there is no delay in activities after an IUD insertion. Post laparoscopy typically one can return to activities when they feel up to it as the surgery is minimally invasive with no sutures other than the small skin incisions.

Ask your surgeon: You need t ask this question of your Laparoscopic surgeon who knows the extent of the Endometriosis and how much surgical work was done at that time.

Exercise: Give it about 2 weeks to start workout after laparoscopy. Start slow and gradually increase the intensity of exercise.

Consult surgeon: Depends on the extensiveness of the procedure etc etc. No set rules and different surgeons have different protocols. Either consult the surgeon who did it or failing that obtaining that advice via your GP - instructions may well be on the discharge sheet that your GP may have a copy of and if not they can contact someone to get that advice for your
