My daughter is scheduled for a laparoscopy and mirena insertion tomorrow due to severe endometriosis. she has been given cytotec to insert vaginally this evening. she is in severe pain, even though she has taken numerous pain killers. is this normal?

Unclear: If she is in such severe pain then a prompt evaluation is warranted. Endometriosis often causes chronic painful periods. If she is in acute severe pain requiring pain medication before surgery then something else may be going on.

Endometriosis pain: Endometriosis itself can cause severe pain which can be addressed by the Laparoscopy assessment tomorrow. If she is unable to walk, talk, laugh or breathe with this pain she should call her GYN MD for instructions for more immediate evaluation.
