Extent and symptoms?: This is not a simple decision and the answer will depend on the extent of the disease and the symptoms you experience as well as the degree of control with hormone regulation.

Sometimes: Endometriosis is a chronic problem. The goal is to give the patient pain relief and organ preservation for future childbearing. Every woman is different. Some may have pain relief for a prolonged time, others symptoms recurr faster. Complete laparoscopic resection of endometriosis, followed by Lupron therapy. Other treatment may delay recurrence ( Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud, nexplanon). Repeat my be necessary.
