My husband got a routine chest x ray and there is findings of atelectasis fibrosis of left lower zone,no symptoms,is it serious?

Scarring: This could be the result of an old infection such as pneumonia which can cause scarring or the findings you describe. Most likely not serious but a follow up chest X-ray or Ct scan in 3 months may be indicated. Speak with ur primary physician or lung doctor. Good luck
