Perhaps. Need blood: Microscopic hematuria (can't see blood but urine tests positive) is seen in multiple conditions. Hypertension (chronic high resting BP) may be the cause or result. Without knowing serum chemistry (a blood test) it'll be hard to say if there is kidney damage but the urine test result is a clue that something is wrong.
