Trust: It appears proper sterilization procedures are being followed. You have to trust that the dentist that you are going to is following recommended infection control protocol. If you don't find another dentist. Discuss your concerns with the dentist directly for assurance.

Not to worry: If your dentist is sterilizing the instruments between patients and the color of the pouch is changing indicating that sterilization has occurred, you have nothing to worry about.

Yes O.K.: The bag changes color to indicate that it was properly sterilized. Rubber cannot be in contact with metal during sterilization so the o ring is separated. Your doctor is doing it right.
