Hard to know: Most people don't have diabetes. "Unhealthy lifestyle" causes diabetes over decades, and you're only 20. On the other hand, some people get diabetes in their youth. The main thing is to not get emotional about it, and just get it checked out.

Yes, possible but...: Yes, it's possible to develop diabetes in a few months, though it's unlikely at age 20. There are 2 types of diabetes and the more common Type 2 is related to diet and lifestyle. If you have developed that know that it's completely reversible by a healthy diet/lifestyle. Hoping you don't have diabetes but,no matter what,an unhealthy lifestyle will have adverse consequences so it's time to change!
