A member asked:

What's the minimum size of liver and/or kidney lesions (in mm) that can be detected on ct scan and ultrasound?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

About 10mm: About 10mm, but at that size it can depend a lot on how good the study was done. (if the operators were able to get ideal positioning for image capture), the anatomy of the patient (it's harder to get enough resolution on obese patients), and it can depend on what the lesion is - if it is solid, a simple vs complex fluid, calcified, etc. Hope this helps
