Not likely : Angela, while any side effect can theoretically happen with any drug, hair loss is not a common side effect of metoprolol. One thing you may want to check is to make sure your thyroid levels are normal as that can impact both blood pressure and hair growth. I'd suggest a call to your primary care provider
