A member asked:

Could doxylamine succinate (equate sleep aid) create a false positive on a hair drug screen?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: there are virtually no false positives in hair testing, since it is done with GC/MS or other comparable sophisticated confirmatory tests. Doxylamine can cause false positives tests for Methadone and PCP on screening tests, but NOT on the confirmatory tests.
