Those are common side effects of metoprolol, although it sounds like you have them worse than usual. You don't feel them at night because you're sleeping. If you're taking it for hypertension, beta-blockers may not be the best drugs for you, but you need to tell your doctor or (s)he won't know. Also, with time, you may (repeat, MAY) get used to the drug.
