A member asked:

Is it possible that my last rib is not closed in front? i can feel it ending just about below my nipple on both sides (though it ends slightly further out on the left). i just discovered this when laying down, and am curious if this is normal. :)

Floating rib: Most ribs are connected to the sternum (breast bone) direclty or by cartilage, but the lowest 1-2 ribs often are not connected and are called "floating" ribs. It's entirely normal.
