Maybe not, but...: Numbers are just numbers, with little meaning unless we can see the entire picture. That is why one's primary care doctor can best interpret lab results. That said, these numbers are likely normal for a preschooler. However, most preschoolers are fast-growing kids and need a good source of dietary iron for many years. For example, his Hgb is 11 now, but may rise to 15 by high school graduation.
