Doctor can check: If the piercing has a friable spot (a spot that is not healing well, and is easy to start bleeding when irritated), that spot could bleed if one tries to put in or take out an earring. Bumps can also form if there is infection in the skin, or an allergic reaction to the earring's material. A primary care doctor or dermatologist can take a look. It's good to show the doctor an unbroken, new bump.
