A member asked:

My triglycerides are 325 nonfasting for first time ever. what would cause it? should i worry?

Maybe: Numbers are just numbers. A bigger picture is needed to make sense of them. The first question is always, "Why was the lab test done?" One needs a follow-up visit with her doctor to discuss lab results. That said, a triglyceride level of 325 is high and it's very likely that something needs to be done. Cholesterol numbers worsen with improper foods and drinks, lack of exercise, unlucky genetics.
