Thrombocytopenia : or low platelets count, most common cause is after some viral infections and is temporary, other causes may be due to drugs, antibodies against platlets, increased splenic activity, etc. and in many cases no cause is found. Keep the appointment with the hematologist, number is still fine, the hematologist would give you a better explanation after his/her evaluation, wish you both wellness
