A member asked:

What does it mean on a ct report when it says tnere is a smallrounded lucent leasion involving the upper right portion of the c5 vertebral body

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably a cyst: Lucent means that light shines through easily, or in this case x-rays. It means it is likely a cyst and likely benign. Ask the doctor that ordered the CT to explain this to you completely, but it does not sound like anything dangerous. It sounds like there is a simple cyst in the bone. This is quite common.
