I had a recent ct scan which stated small scattered sclerotic foci throughout the sternum and vertebrae are unchanged with no destructive bone lesion identified what does this mean? i have symptoms of right side rib and chest pain?

The wording implies that there was a previous CT scan and a comparison of the two shows findings are identical. It also says there is no evidence seen of bone destruction. Any other interpretation must come by correlating the exam findings that lead to the study by the doc who knows the case.
