All imaging results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, a CT examination of the spine is warranted, as advised you your doctor. Wish you good health!

It just means that they found something unusual in your spine. It is most likely a tumor that is benign (not a problem). Hemangiomas are often found on studies and are of no significance. They are just recommending a further work up to ensure something more significant is not going on. It is worth it to get the CT scan to be sure and better evaluate what is going on.
