Doxy probably OK: Some bacteria that cause such infections, such as Pseudomonas, are more likely to respond to ciprofloxacin than to doxycycline. But doxy isn't a bad choice, and if you have had significant side effects with levofloxacin, it may be reasonable to avoid cipro. If there is drainage, it probably can be tested to determine the exact cause. Discuss further with the ENT doc.
