Small muscle: contractions. The presence of the small nasogastric tube, especially the prolonged presence, can stimulate small muscles in the throat, oropharynx and nose, and they might twitch a bit. It should all resolve quickly after the tube is removed. You body is just reacting to the presence of a foreign body...something it is not used to. Stay well:)
