Achilles : There is no reason for you not to exercise. If your ankle is immobilized then you can use a stationary bicycle and you can also do upper body exercises

Get back to it: After 9 months should not be a problem, ask your surgeon if any concerns.

Depressed: Discuss with your doctor and physio. I guess should be able to do graduated exercises after 9 months of injury if the healing process is going on well. Talk to your physiotherapist or surgeon
