Everything checked : A radiologist will give strict attention to details. The history given will help guide the radiologist what to look for. The clivis will also be examined. There are lesions that will not appear on a MRI but missed? Highly unlikely. Hope this helps

The clivus,: part of the skull base, is always included on a brain mri. As far as lesions being "missed", no test is perfect, and no human endeavor is without the possibility of error. Fortunately, the level of training for those interpreting MRI and for other specialists mitigates the risk to the extent possible.
