A member asked:

A year ago i was 30 weeks pregnant, i had symptoms of a uti with pain and pressure while peeing. found 2-4 hpf rbc in urine but no bacteria or wbc.pain went away without medication. dr said was probably baby's position. what caused rbc?uti?straining?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

May be: Increased vascularity in the pelvis, especially congestion in the urinary bladder due to fetal position may have been responsible for the few red cells in urine. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
