Yes: Intercourse can increase the number and frequency of UTI's in women. It is also a way to contract a STD, but the two can happen separately of each other. Because you get one does not mean you automatically have the other. Your partner also did not give you a UTI (like a STD) unless they took germs and squirted them up your pee hole with a syringe. The sex act just makes it more likely to happen.
