Heart racing: Svt is supraventricular tachycardia. The symptom is a fast heart rate, often near or over 200 beats per minute in adults. Your heart often does not beat as effectively at that speed, so you may also feel weak or light headed. Count your pulse, think about how it comes and goes (sudden vs. Gradual) record everything and see a doctor with that information.

SVT symptoms: An SVT may result in symptoms of palpitations, chest pain, dizziness, passing out, shortness of breath, and fatigue. Some arrhythmias can lead to strokes, heart attacks, and even death. See doctor, cardiologist, and/or heart rhythm (EP) specialist if concerned. Call 911 if chest pain, passing out, shortness of breath, or severe dizziness.
