I took sudafed for a few days for my sinuses. i had a saliva drug test 2 days later for a job interview. i drank nyquil the nite before. i got a call from a doctor saying i tested positive and wasnt from otc meds. is this true?

Positive for what?: What did you test positive for? Was it a screening test or was it followed by a confirmatory test. Screening tests may have false positive result.
