I'm worried you: have reported the incorrect units. Vitamin D (usually taken in the Vitamin D3 form) is usually dosed in IU's -- International Units NOT mg (milligrams). If you were taking 1000 MG it would be something like 40 million IU's! So assuming you are really taking 1000 IU's daily, that dose is very reasonable, considered safe, and shouldn't affect your liver. All supplements should be reviewed with Doc:)
