Common : Enlarged lymph nodes in the neck in children are common, and can stay for some time, amoxicillin for 4 days only may not affect the size, the lymph node may be enlarged fighting a viral disease too. You didn't mention the location of the lymph node and how is your child is generally doing. If this lymph node stays for long, becomes hard or fixed, or other bothering symptom, see your doctor,
