Possibly: The odor in particular is a sign of infection, but it may clear without antibiotics, but with appropriate treatment for the inflammation/congestion. You need to see an Allergist or Otolaryngologist for an evaluation. Inappropriate antibiotic selection can worsen the problem in some cases. Also, recurrent or severe sinus infection warrants work up for causes of underlying chronic inflammation.
