No: But it is not indicated for moderate acne. It is best used for nodulocystic acne. I like to start at 40mg and graduate to 80 mg by incremental steps to improve tolerance. Generally the best therapy for adult female acne is spironolactone with or without a drospirenone birth control pill. OTC Differin gel is also very effective.
