Psychology : You may be able to control it with psychological therapy. Best to see your GP as they will be able to either determine if this is appropriate and/or refer you to the right service if it is. All the best

Self-treat Anxiety: Great question. Number one thing is to learn to be able to slow down your breathing and make it rhythmic and calm. When your anxious this can be harder than you think. Set a timer for 5 minutes and try to just sit in a relaxed position and breath slowly, focusing on your breath. See how you feel. For me this is the first non medical step to try. If 5 isn't enough try 10. All the best!

Anxiety: There are psychological approaches to dealing w/anxiety. Please see a clinical psychologist who specializes in mood disorders. For some self-help see www.relaxationresponse.org for a technique you can practice as well. Peace and good health.

Please see below: Hi ?Anna. Best approach would be to take a holistic perspective that would include psychological, social (including our lifestyle) and biological strategies into account. There is no "one glove that fits all". Please discuss your concerns and treatment options with someone you can trust e.g. GP/counselor/caregiver/school teacher. Make sure you obtain some assistance - the sooner, the better

Many options: Counseling (esp. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) & a self-treatment called EFT can help (http://www.eftuniverse.com/). Many herbs help, including tulsi (holy basil), ashwagandha, valerian & passionflower. Magnesium & B vitamins often help, as can L-tryptophan & L-theanine. Homeopathy & Bach flowers can help. Avoid sugar, caffeine & unhealthy foods. Exercise can be very helpful, as is meditation.
