See below: Are you anxious about every day stuff or particular events?Generally, it's good to know what makes you anxious. Practice relaxation, mediation, guided imagery (you can google it); keep a diary of the events when you happen to be anxious -- what happened (the event), thoughts you had; things you've done to decrease anxiety; how you body responded (where did it feel in your body).

CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapy has been shown to be very useful in management of anxiety. There are many forms and branches of this. Most of these involve learning different techniques that can be considered coping skills. These strategies can be learned and developed. You can use self help or a teacher or therapist.

Things to help: I agree w dr. Re's recommendation for cbt & dr. Fox's for journaling, meditation, imaging & relaxation. Even if you don't desire meds it is important to be medically evaluated. Sometimes anxiety can be caused by underlying medical conditions that need to be addressed. Try to exercise daily. Spend time outside with mother nature. Have a healthy nutrition plan. Consider acupuncture or yoga.

Anxiety: I agree with my colleagues. You don't necessarily need medications, but certainly being evaluated medically needs to be done to rule out treatable medical causes for anxiety.
