After careful eval.: It may be cautiously prescribed and must be closely monitored. She should not be alone. It is very important in someone of that age to look for medical reasons for new onset anxiety. Prescribing an anti anxiety medication in lieu of such investigation risks missing a treatable medical condition. Be sure this has been done.
