Is a d&c dangerous? i have to get a polyp removed & i have pcos but i want kids in the future. will the d&c cause scar tissue or problems later on?

Not usually: A D & C or a hysteroscopy and D & C are often performed to remove an Endometrial Polyp. There are risks as in any surgery. Scarring of the uterine lining is one of them, but does not usually occur. A polyp can also interfere with conception, is an abnormal growth, and should be removed. Usually a D & C will not cause later problems, but should always be reported.
