A 20-year-old female asked:

In general...how likely is it for polyps to reoccur after polypectomy and a d&c??? on syeda birth control now for management of pcos. should i worry?

Polyp recurrence: Both endometrial and cervical polyps can recur. Endometrial polyps can recur more frequently in untreated PCOS patients because of the irregular anovulatory periods with excess estrogen secretion. Endometrial polyps can progress to endometrial cancer if untreated.
